    So now I know what you sound like and I have another American accent in my head to go with my friend Anne from Boston. I love the analogy of the slide too 🙂

      Isn’t it fun? You know most Americans are quite taken with British accents. I’ve often wondered what yours sounds like and think I hear it on occasion in the rhythm of your words and in your word choice. Would love to actually hear it. Of course those of us in the heartland don’t think we have much of an accent compared to Boston. lol Or to those raised in the south or north. My roots include a southern accent, but it is mostly gone after 25 years living in Colorado.

        My Hampshire accent is a little like London but with a hint of the farm to it. Southern Englih accents have less variation than the North I think. We do tend to drop our h’s and our vowels are soft so Hampshire becomes amshure home is ome.

    I could just hear you saying “ome” Love it. I watch a lot of BBC movies and wonder about the accents sometimes. For example, the accents in the mini-series North and South are quite different than the Jane Austen flicks.
